What Is the Multi‑Functioning Grip?
The Multi‑Functioning Grip (MF'ing) is the civilian version of our TS‑1 (Trigger Shield, 1-Step Opening), a system that has earned Department of Defense and agency contracts. It replaces the standard grip on AR‑15* / M4 / M16‑style rifles and gives the user four selectable modes for carry and storage.
It makes transporting, handling, and concealing the firearm easier — and when used correctly, safer — but it is not a firearm safety device.
Why Is It Called the Multi‑Functioning Grip?
The MF'ing Grip has four user‑selectable modes, each designed for a different carry or storage need:
1. RTF – Ready To Fire Works like a normal grip.
2. FA – Fast Access Makes the rifle easier to stow or carry. A quick smack returns
it to RTF. Ideal to save space while still being readily available.
3. UC – Under Cover Shields the trigger/trigger‑guard area and keeps the
selector switch on “Safe”*. Ideal for "bag guns".
4. RA – Restricted Access Shields the trigger, keeps the selector switch on “Safe”*, and adds a release button that prevents the shield from moving unless
intentionally pressed. Ideal for storage and transport.
*UC and RA modes require a full‑size / Mil‑Spec selector switch (not compatible with short‑throw selectors).
Backstrap Options
The MF'ing Grip includes three backstrap sizes (Small, Medium, Large). Swap them by removing the roll pin, sliding in the new backstrap, and reinstalling the pin flush on both sides.
Use / Examples
The Multi-Functioning Grip was designed to make storing, transporting, carrying, and concealing the rifle/pistol easier, and when used properly, a little safer. Pictured below is the Multi-Functioning Grip with the High-Visibility Blue option. This option allows for fast visual conformation that the trigger is Shielded. The bright color is completely concealed in FA and RTF modes. Great option for training academies, night-time qualifications, or some color pop.
Depending on optics/accessories, the Multi-Functioning Grip compacts the rifles enough to allow 2+ rifles to be stored in a single-rifle case.
